The Importance of On-Time Delivery
With the background from the faculty of Secretary, Linda T. doesn’t have the required knowledge when she first got into the exhibition design and construction business as marketing staff. Without proper guidance from her mentors, Linda set her own deadline to understanding everything about the business. In a relatively short time, she became the manager and got her first project.
At the time, Linda doesn’t realize the importance of meeting the deadline. When she started doing a project, she should be aware of the consequences and sequence of jobs that follow. Due to the lack of experience, the project was not finished on time and the product was not as good as expected.
“It was the biggest failure in my life and I will never ever forget it. I didn’t really understand the importance of setting the deadline and monitoring the production phase. Ever since that time, I become very strict when it comes to production and meeting the deadline,” explained Linda.
The failure acts as warning for Linda to continuously improve herself. She discovered that exhibition design and construction business company has to be credible and able to give the quality that meets clients’ expectations. Price and aesthetic are subjective variables which may continuously change, however, on-time delivery is an absolute thing in this business
With her principles, networks and years of experience in the exhibition design and construction business, on 2010, Linda started her own company under the name of PT. Pedang Berlian. Within short period of time, PT. Pedang Berlian has vastly grown, thus, she dreams of making PT. Pedang Berlian as the best exhibition design and construction company in Indonesia.
